Gujarat, a very colorful state of India and is one of the most developed states of India. Gujarat is located in western India and covers the area of 196,024 square kilometers. This state is having the fertile land in south part divided by the few rivers, the mountains in the west part and the mudflats in the northern part which adjoins Thar Desert. Gujarat is the birth place of Mahatma Gandhi - the father of nation of India. The sign of the civilizations at Gujarat are from 3000 to 1500 BC. Gujarat was also the part of great Mauryan kingdom during 3rd century BC ruled by King Ashoka.

Gujarat is an extremely important tourist destination in India. The Lothal of Gujarat is having the unparalleled sites of the ancient Harappan civilization - that is one of the best civilizations in the world. The largest city of Gujarat Ahmedabad offers the unique examples of Indo-Sarcenic architectures. Palitana of the state is welcoming with its marvelous temples built in Jain styles.
