Sariska National Park

Sariska National Park lies in the Aravalli hills in Rajasthan. It is spread across an area of 492 km2 in the forest of Sariska. Sariska wildlife sanctuary is established in the year 1955 and declared as a national Park in 1979. Once the Sariska forests were the hunting preserve of the Maharaja of Alwar. Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary in one of the protected wildlife areas of the country, where Project Tiger remained successful. Besides tigers, you can spot a number of other wild animals such as leopard, wild dog, sambar, chital, wild boar, hare, nilgai, civet, four-horned antelope, gaur (Indian bison) and porcupine.
