On one hand where India is preserving its ancient heritage from the Indus Valley Civilization it is also being shaped by the long Indian history, its unique geographia and the absorption of customs, traditions and ideas from both immigrants and invaders. India's great-diversified cultural practices, customs, languages, and traditions are unique examples of this unparalleled co-mingling over the past few millenniums. India is also known for the birth of several religious systems such as Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, which have had a great influence over the world.
